Wrap and slip dresses are definitely on my radar this season. Both are super comfy and effortless pieces that can be worn alone while the weather is still warm, or layered under or over additional pieces as it cools off. I picked up this little number from Forever21 a few weeks ago and honestly I can’t remember the last time I’d bought something pink before this dress. I also realized this summer that I can’t stand wearing short dresses because I hate constantly worrying about my butt showing if I bent down, reached above my head, or if the wind decided to sabotage me; BUT, bought it anyways, couldn't resist.
I wore this on an afternoon outing while I was visiting Jeremy in North Carolina. We grabbed lunch downtown, walked around a festival , and then went to chill at a park with a nice view of the city (pictured). Because of the whole “wrap” thing, it is crucial that you study the weather conditions before deciding to wear one (mainly short ones), otherwise you may be battling the wind for your modesty. I, unknowingly, chose the WORST possible day to wear it so shooting photos on top of a windy parking garage was quite the struggle and walking through the festival required both of us holding down the sides of my dress. Never have I ever been so inconvenienced by an article of clothing but it made for an interesting time and memories to laugh about.
